Photography is largely a reflection of how one sees the world. Its challenges and rewards lie in finding the right combination of subject matter, light and composition to best convey the photographer's vision. For me, photography began with a love of flowers and scenics, and expanded logically to environmental portraiture. After realizing the rewards of capturing children and families outdoors, I began to work with them in the studio as well. I now photograph both nature and people, which gives me the best of two photographic worlds. I have been seriously pursuing photography since 1993, the year in which I won a photography award from The Washington Post. My works are on exhibit in homes and offices throughout the Washington, D.C. area, and are sold at shows and in shops. I maintain a portrait studio, and currently do environmental and studio portraiture, nature photography and event work.
